Alexis Valdés prolongs his success in the Miami Spanish theater industry with "The Neighbors from Above"
Almost three months after its premiere, it is confirmed that the play "The Neighbors from Above" is seen as a historic success in Miami. The Spanish comedy, presented and produced by Alexis Valdés, premiered on September 10, at the Trail Theater, and continues to produce full performances. Taking into account the fact that we are still feeling the tail of the coronavirus crisis, certain precautionary measures are taken in public places, but that does not seem to matter to the almost 10,000 people who have seen the show.
This version of "The Neighbors Above" is directed by Alexis and Mijail Mulkay, who is part of the cast of four artists who give life to the characters of the funny piece. The others are actresses Claudia Valdés and Dianelys Brito, and Alejandro Dávalos. In short, a "dream team" of comedians who give life to two very different couples who provoke many laughs.
One couple lives on the ground floor (played by Mikhail and Dianelys), has lived together for many years and has been won over by monotony in various senses, especially sexual. The opposite happens with “The Neighbors From Above” (personified by Alejandro and Claudia), who are younger and more energetic, and who make love so loudly that they are constantly heard by “those from below”. A few minutes into the play, the two couples come together with the intention of sharing fraternally, and their crazy and fun conflict breaks out.
Performances are at the Trail Theater on Fridays at 9 PM, Saturdays, at 8 PM, and on Sundays, at 5 PM. Tickets can be purchased at www.teatrotrail.com and 305-443-1009. Using the code # neighbors10 you get a 10% discount.
